Semi-automatic development of thematic tactile maps

Tactile cartography has always been a niche topic, but even among tactile cartographers, little attention paid to thematic maps. Thematic maps are used in education and the lack of such materials makes it difficult fulfill particular subjects’ curriculums. In this research, we propose methodology for automatic compilation legible cartographically sound educational that bases on concept anchor layers uses unequivocal parameters generalization operators. Using an approach were able automate most complicated parts procedure deal particularly with geospatial data. We verify proposed by preparing sample case study 3D printed map is later evaluated students visual impairments. also evaluate novel hybrid production consists both graphic content.
